Beach Accommodation on Aitutaki Island
There are four stand-alone self-catering bungalows at Aitutaki Beach Villas. Two of these are absolute beach-front villas with verandas perched literally over the white sands of Aitutaki and these sit in the two corners of the accommodation gardens. Two other villas are staggered behind and in-between the Absolute Beachfront Villas: The Beach View Villa is 20 paces back from the beach and has good views of both the beach and lagoon; whilst the Lagoon View Villa, the most private of the four villas, sits a little further back with views of the lagoon. The rhythmic lapping tides of Aitutaki Lagoon can be heard gently from all four villas
Three of the bungalows are identical in lay-out: A-frame wooden bungalows with open plan living, kitchen and a mezzanine room in the loft area. The mezzanine is ideal for children with two single beds and is enclosed by a balustrade with a low ceiling at the ends (like the top half of an A). Access to the mezzanine is via a steep wooden staircase from the downstairs sleeping area and may not be suitable for toddlers. The mezzanine can also be set-up as a King bed option for friends travelling together although it is a bit of a squeeze. All villas have a sofa bed which can sleep additional children and a cot is available on request. One of the Absolute Beachfront Villas (Villa #1) is styled more like a bungalow, without the mezzanine, and has a slightly larger living area. This villa is perfect for couples although an additional person could sleep in the sofa bed.
